Book your place on one of our October transfer trips now
Enjoy better sailing and get a great deal!
We are delighted to have had many requests from our friends and clients to join us on our more, shall we say, rigorous, transfer trips to and from our yachts’ winter home in Thessaloniki, to Lefkada and next year Rhodes.
They differ from charter trips because we cover much longer distances in a day and in rougher weather, but…enjoy better sailing! If you want to improve your sailing skills and challenge yourself or see how a monohull or catamaran feel like and take advantage of a much cheaper price than a charter, then this is your opportunity. You will see so much more of Greece’s magical coast line too. Also, you will bond with the rest of the crew and get to know new people.
When and how much?
- Thursday 19th to Saturday 21st October Splash (monohull Dufour 530) will travel from Lefkada to Lavrio via the Corinth Canal. We will do approximately 75 nautical miles per day. Cost €150 plus food.
- Thursday 26th to Sunday 29th October Splash will travel from Lavrio to Thessaloníki covering 215nm over 4 days. Depending on the weather we will either go inside Evia island or outside via Skyros. Cost €200 plus food.
- Prodigy (Isla 40 Catamaran) will leave Lefkada for Lavrio most probably on Monday 23rd arriving on Wednesday 25th October (cost €150 plus food) and then either join Splash 26 – 29 October or come up 2nd – 5th November. Cost €200 plus food.
Other things to note:
We will arrive in Lavrio in order to attend the last day of the Olympic Yacht Show in Lavrio Marina. Whoever wants to stay and attend is welcome. Each extra night on the yachts in port costs €30.
One crew member will be asked by the captain to organise a food, shopping, cooking and cleaning schedule so that it is fair on all. We will share expenses fairly.
You will share a cabin and WC with one other person.
Bring enough warm clothes, including a waterproof jacket, hat, strong trainers.
Sheets and towels will be provided.
We have certain time constraints so need to arrive in port on the days stated above. If the schedule or weather prove too demanding for you we reserve the right to drop you off in the nearest available port. We will not take risks with your health or safety and neither put our yachts at unnecessary risk.
It might be obvious, but just for clarity’s sake, the captain’s word is final on all matters. He or she is committed to your best interests. If you want to come we expect you to be co-operative and play a positive role in the crew. This way we will all have a better time together!
